ARCHIVES will be CLOSED last 2 Weds of March–Women’s History Month talks!

To our followers: The Ohio Lesbian Archives will be CLOSED this Wednesday, March 22 and Wednesday, March 29 because we’ll be busy (preparing and) giving two talks — at the University of Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky University.

The UC Women’s Center contacted us and we had an enthusiastic meeting with the Director and a few of the main staff at the Center. Nancy Yerian, a volunteer (Olivia), and Phebe Beiser will speak on the beginnings of the Archives and activism. The talk will be held at Langsam Library, Room 462 at 4:00pm March 22nd. Free. Come join us for the discussion!

Our talk at NKU will be Thursday, March 30 at 6 pm. At this date we don’t yet know what building although the Student Union is likely. Speaking will be Phebe (again, re the beginnings of the Archives) and Nancy will focus on lesbians and health activism. (If you email us closer to the time, we can let you know the site). Or you can contact the chair of Women’s History Month committee at NKU this year, Carolyn Noe, Institute for Health Innovation.

Support Women’s History Month–although some of us like to say: Every Month is Women’s History!!!

~ Phebe (Karen) Beiser
